THE PROBLEM
Getting good at Chi Sao requires a great deal of work and training. Initially comes the work of relaxing and conditioning the shoulders to be able to roll. Many beginning students can only roll for a minute or two. They need a way to learn the proper structure of Chi Sao while conditioning the shoulders to relax into the movements.
Intermediate and advanced students then face the problem of technique practice. A skilled partner is not always available, and finding someone who can match your speed — either patient enough to move slowly as you learn, or fast enough to keep up as you perfect techniques — is a real challenge.
THE SOLUTION
While many systems call the Wooden Dummy the Second Sifu, the Great Lion Company is proud to introduce something that can only be called a Third Sifu.
The term CHI SAO REVOLUTION is a true description of what can happen with your own -- or your student's -- progress in Chi Sao. From basic structure and conditioning through advanced Chi Sao combinations with moving stances and kicks, one piece of equipment can be your ultimate training partner.

There are TWO versions of the Chi Sao dummy. One that is free-standing, and one that attaches to a traditional wooden dummy.
The arms can be locked into position for traditional dummy form practice, can be used with spring-loaded tension to build structure, or set to free rotation mode for combination practice. The spring tension can be adjusted easily to control the amount of resistance you feel during Chi Sao practice.
The dummy features multiple heavy-duty striking targets. There are two padded targets, at the head and center torso section. There are also multiple kicking targets such as the stacked central kicking core, the steel legs, and the cement-filled counter weight.
The legs are fully adjustable, allowing you to easily adjust the height of the jong to match your (or your student's) height.
Note: The bottom counter-weight is shipped unfilled to reduce shipping costs. Each unit comes with instructions for adding ready-mix concrete into the provided counter-weight container, which weights to jong to accept a significant degree of force.
Each unit also comes with heavy-duty lock wheels so the unit can be positioned easy, locked into place, or left unlocked for free motion. For circular training, simply lock one wheel and the unit will rotate around this point as you practice Chi Sao.
