Freestanding Mantis Dummy

The differences between the Mantis dummy and the Wing Chun dummy are as follows:

1.) The mantis dummy upper arms are set at 45 degrees while the Wing Chun upper arms have a 30 degree spread.
2.) The mantis arms are 14" long whereas the Wing Chun arms are 12" long.
3.) The mantis leg drops at a 90 degree angle from the knee to the floor. The Wing Chun dummy angles down at a 60 degree angle to the floor.
4.) The mantis arms taper to a "closed fist" on the end of the arm. The Wing Chun arms have a straight taper with a rounded bevel on the ends.
5.) The mantis center arm is lower than the Wing Chun center arm.

Some people say that there is no differences between the Wing Chun dummy and the Mantis dummy, but as you can see, there is quite a difference between the two. The similarities are as follows.

1.) Both the Mantis dummy and the Wing Chun dummy are 54" long and 9" in diameter.
2.) The Mantis dummy and the Wing Chun dummy both utilize the well-known three arm configuration (two upper arms and one lower arm)
3.) The two upper arms on both the Mantis dummy and the Wing Chun dummy are level.
4.) Both the Mantis dummy and the Wing Chun dummy utilize a single leg configuration on the dummy.

We construct a very good Mantis dummy, but if you need further customization from the above specifications, we can modify the dummy.

This dummy has been specially designed by the Muk Jong Kong Company to meet the needs of the Mantis community and all rights to the design and specifications belong to The Muk Jong Kong Company.
